Update on PayPal Situation
Well, it sounds like this problem is bigger than just PayPal. They are saying they are under pressure from the credit card companies. I just received a lovely email from the owner of the ebook store Smashwords.com. He gives some real advice about why this issue is a problem, why every author and reader should care, and what you can do to help: THE PROBLEM: PayPal is asking us to censor legal fiction. Regardless of how one views topics of rape, bestiality and incest, these topics are pervasive in mainstream fiction. We believe this crackdown is really targeting erotica writers. This is unfair, and it marks a slippery slope. We don’t want credit card companies or financial institutions telling our authors what they can write and what readers can read....

There’s a new volume of Dev Dreams out! This one is much more erotic than the last. I also decided to make each of the stories available separately, but buying the bundle is a significant savings. You’ve seen some excerpts from the stories in this book before. It includes Coworker Crush, My Hot Cousin, Stewart and Leah Home for Christmas, and The Player. Here is a short clip from Coworker Crush… ### The music on the TV is still playing when Adam says, “I have a confession to make.” I wait, my stomach suddenly turning very tight, afraid of what he might be about to say. He continues, “I’ve liked you for a long time.” I am too stunned to say anything. How incredible that he has had feelings for me all this time that I’ve been...
Read MorePayPal Decides it is the Morality Police
A very disturbing development has been happening behind the scenes at eBook sellers across the Internet. Paypal has forbidden them to sell erotic materials that they have decided are too weird or wrong. This includes “barely legal” in which both characters are consenting adults, but one is 18 or 19. It also includes “pseudo incest” in which characters sleep with people that they are not blood relation to, but step relation to. Both of these activities are legal. But PayPal has decided they are wrong. So far that doesn’t touch what I write, but you know what? It will. Paypal might not know about devotees yet, but I’ll bet when they find out, that will be on their list of unacceptable kinks. Since when does a financial...

A friend pointed out recently that people are really fascinated by true stories. He suggested that I might want to think about sharing more of my real experiences with my audience and not just my fiction. I thought that was a great idea. I do get emails and other messages from people curious about my real life and what role disability has played in it. Where do I get the knowledge and confidence to write about disabled characters? Are my novels based on real life? So I picked six stories from my real dating life to showcase in an eBook called True Tales: Encounters with Disabled Men. Here is an excerpt from one of the stories… ### I liked New Jersey a lot. He was a classic nice guy. Soon after we started IMing, he mentioned that he worked for an airline...

I’ve excerpted from this story before, but that was when it was still in progress. It is finished and on sale now. My first blind lead! *** The next morning I go into work early. When I open the door, the room is dark. No one has come in yet to turn on the lights. But then I see the back of Adam’s head outlined as my eyes adjust. My hand is already outstretched towards the light switch, but I stop. Instead of turning it on, I put down my purse and walk in the dark towards Adam’s desk. I reach out and touch his shoulder and he places a hand over mine. “Careful,” he says. “There’s no one else here,” I said, leaning into his back, resting my forehead between his shoulder blades. His hand tightens on mine. “In that...
