Upcoming Projects
Well, I had this big plan to finally get my science fiction romance published in the early new year (February 2013), but the fact is, it is not ready yet.
Feb may seem far away, but it really isn’t! Not in terms of getting a book ready.
I need to take this off deadline and just let it take however long it’s going to take.
Which is frustrating because I love the idea and I’ve been working on it for years. Seriously, guys. Years! I really believe in these characters and I want so much to give them to you.
But they just are not ready. And I need to take the pressure off and let the story come as it comes.
I wish I had more to give you. I have the two novels and a bunch of short stories but I’m really ready to have another novel out. Particularly I want to get a novel out that is not about devness. I want one that is not so self-conscious but is more of a story.
So Parallel Loves is ambitious and complicated. But I have some other ideas what I’m working on that I think will be easier for me to execute.
So this is what I have on the pipeline for you:
- A murder mystery with a fun “detective” character, a girl named Olive who is a wheelchair user (sorry , this one is not really for my dev friends!)
- An episodic series involving time travel and mysteries
- I want to expand several of my short stories into novellas or novels

It is so hard to realize a piece is not only not finished, but that you have so far to go on it. I have a few pieces that have been in my pipeline that I have spent years and years (decades?) developing… that may never actually come to fruition for whatever reason. Sometimes a story works, and sometimes… it just doesn’t. But the process is a worthy journey, regardless.
